Colorado Maternal Mental Health Collaborative Welcomes New Leaders

The Collaborative is welcoming 9 new members to the Leadership Team, comprised of cross-sector partners who provide oversight and strategic direction for the Collaborative & Framework. Bringing a variety of perspectives, the Leadership Team includes providers, people with lived experience, researchers, representatives of payer organizations, public health professionals, and non-profit community-based organizations. They meet monthly to provide strategic leadership to the overall effort of the Collaborative to align with statewide efforts and systems for perinatal mental health.

New members include:

  • Jessica Bass, LCSW, Perinatal Behavioral Health Specialist, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment
  • Sheila Davis, MD, MS, Health Chair of the NAACP Colorado-Wyoming-Montana Region
  • Amelia Ehmer, PsyD, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry, Ob/Gyn, and Pediatrics, University of Colorado, School of Medicine and Children's Hospital Colorado
  • Stacy Howard, PhD, Program Officer and Manager of Behavioral Health Strategy, Buell Foundation
  • Laura Howell, MD, Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB / GYN), Centura High Country Healthcare Women's Health
  • Emily Johnson, MS, Director of Policy Analysis, Colorado Health Institute
  • Sarah Nagle-Yang, MD, Deputy Executive Director, Colorado Center for Women's Behavioral Health, Department of Psychiatry, University of Colorado School of Medicine
  • Kenia Pinela-Marioni, Director of Programs and Innovation, Valley Settlement
